More than 100 of Northern Virginia Magazine’s “Top Doctors” this year are Children’s National Hospital care providers. The prestigious list includes 104 Children’s National physicians from 26 specialties, including nationally-ranked programs such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neonatology, Nephrology, Orthopaedics, Pulmonology and Urology.

“It is always wonderful to see our doctors recognized for their hard work and dedication to children and families in the Northern Virginia Magazine "Top Doctors" List, but especially now,” said Kurt Newman, M.D., president and CEO of Children’s National Hospital. “For nearly two years, they have been challenged by the enormous demands of the pandemic and still serve every family with the very best care."

Nominations for Northern Virginia Magazine’s list of “Top Doctors” are generated by a peer survey and panels from eight local hospitals. Each panel nominated the doctors based on internal evaluations, patient reviews, patient access, training and quality of records. “I have the privilege of seeing their efforts each day and know this recognition is well-deserved,” said Dr. Newman. “Their commitment, skillset and dedication to improving the health of all children is, in part, what makes them best in class.”

This year’s recognized physicians from Children’s National include:

Rheumatology

  • Tova Ronis, M.D.
  • Sangeeta Sule, M.D., Ph.D.

*Based at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV)
