Joint Accreditation Announcement
Children’s National is proud to announce that we have achieved Joint Accreditation, an ability to provide continuing education across professions. Through an account at ce.childrensnational.org, healthcare professionals can obtain continuing education credits in nursing, medicine, pharmacy, psychology and social work.Medical Education Transition
Hospital Grand Rounds sessions are available for CME in the INOVA Portal through June 2024. User accounts will not migrate over from INOVA’s Continuing Medical Education website. All users will need to create a profile on the new website is by following the steps below:
- Go to: https://ce.childrensnational.org.
- In the top right, click Login.
- Login using the Children's National Login (SSO) option.
- Complete user profile by clicking on My Account.
Important Notes for Claiming Credit
- Credit claiming window will open 45 minutes after the start time of the session and will remain open for 60 days after the session.
- Credit claiming is only available via the session code. Session code will be provided during the educational activity.
- Learners have two options:
- Text session code to 301-273-7643 or
- Go to https://ce.childrensnational.org and enter the session code
For those that have an INOVA CME account, don’t forget to download your CME Transcript:
In preparation for this transition, all users are advised to download and/or print their transcript to maintain their records from the INOVA CME Portal.
Continuing Education
Through the Joint Accreditation team, continuing educational activities are available for physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, psychologists, and social workers in addition to many interprofessional activities where team members plan together to learn together.
Continuing Medical Education
The Office of Continuing Medical Education provides a continuing learning process that helps physicians and other pediatric healthcare professionals enhance their practice of medicine and improve healthcare outcomes.
Our office sponsors a variety of conferences and Hospital Grand Rounds. Many conferences focus on specific pediatric topics that are of interest to pediatricians, family practitioners, specialists and other health professionals.

Continuing Nursing Education
We offer continuing education programs for nurses throughout the year. These on-site, off-site and online programs enhance professional development in nursing practice, education, administration, and research, all of which positively impact patient care outcomes and patient safety.
Lectures and Workshops
Join Children’s National Hospital faculty and staff in engaging lectures and professional development workshops. Hospital Grand Rounds
Hospital Grand Rounds are open to physicians, nurses, medical trainees, physician assistants, social workers, healthcare administrators, allied health professionals, volunteers and students in the Children's National community and the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
