Donations are essential year-round, and especially during the holiday season. Children’s National Hospital accepts brand new toys, books, games, clothing and more for Dr. Bear’s Closet during the holidays!
Donations
Thank you for your interest in donating and supporting Children’s National Hospital this holiday season! We are accepting holiday donations from December 2 -December 23. Your donations will be given to patients and family members during their hospital visit to provide comfort, offer distractions and to normalize the hospital setting during the holidays. Please carefully review our holiday wish list, donation guidelines, and FAQs below.

Online Donations
Online Holiday Wish List
You can donate toys and games directly to Dr. Bear’s Closet through our online holiday wish list! Items will be directly shipped to the Volunteer Services office and utilized for the holiday season.
Dropping Off or Mailing Donations
Brand new items purchased with recommendations from our Holiday Wish List can either be dropped off via donation appointment or shipped/mailed directly to the Volunteer Services office at the address below.

Holiday Drop-Off Deadline
Please note that the last date to schedule a drop-off appointment for the holiday season is December 23.

Monetary Donations to Dr. Bear’s Closet
Making a monetary donation to Dr. Bear’s Closet allows us to purchase highly requested items for patients and families as well as the programs we support.
