Director, Patient Care Services
Adam Winebarger is director of Patient Care Services and is responsible for nursing, inpatient clinical services, and the Skilled Nursing Facility at The HSC Pediatric Center.
Prior to HSC, Adam worked at United Medical Center, a 354-bed acute care community hospital in Washington, DC, where he served in several leadership positions including Director of Care Management, Director of Nursing Services, and Associate Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to UMC, Adam was a Program Manager for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, where he led population health and disease management initiatives for the 5.3 million-member Federal Employee Program. Prior to BCBSA, Adam was Sr. Manager of Care Management Operations with Inovalon, a data analytics company focused on improving patient outcomes for health systems and health plans.
A registered nurse with clinical experience in emergency services and critical care, Adam obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Waynesburg University, a Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on health systems leadership from Loyola University New Orleans, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Nova Southeastern University. Adam is certified as a Nurse Executive from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a Certified Case Manager from the Commission for Case Manager Certification.
