Additional Annual Financial Benefits
- New resident relocation bonus ($650)
- 401K: Up to 15 percent of salary; CNH matches up to 5 percent of salary during PL2 and PL3
- Stipend for lab coats and scrubs ($115 for PL1s, $95 for both PL2s and PL3s)
- Stipend for transportation distributed annually ($325) to cover transportation home when unsafe to drive or transportation between work sites
- Discounted on-site parking
- Group life insurance, health insurance (including gender-affirming and other medical procedures related to transgender health), dental plan, vision plan

Wellness Benefits
Annual Free Psychologist Visit
Annual free individual opt-out psychology visits with our residency program psychologist.
George Washington Psychiatry
Residents have access to five free and completely confidential sessions with GW psychiatrists. Appointments are flexible and designed to fit a residents busy schedule.
Employee Assistance Program
All Children’s National Hospital employees have the opportunity to talk confidentially with a behavioral health professional about a wide range of personal matters in a confidential manner at no cost.
Scheduled Debriefs for Each Inpatient Rotation
The debrief team is also available to schedule additional debriefs for teams and individuals as needed.

Contract Information
Residents at Children’s National have been members of the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR), a national Resident Union, for more than 30 years.
