Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship

We are excited about your interest in our ACGME-accredited one-year clinical pediatric dermatology fellowship at Children’s National Hospital/George Washington (GW) University School of Medicine. One fellow will be selected to begin their training in July of the subsequent academic year.

Our Dermatology Division is special in many regards. The diversity of our patient population is unparalleled in multiple realms and the volume and complexity of our patients is high, in part due to proximity to the National Institutes of Health. Formal multidisciplinary clinics include vulvar dermatology, vascular anomalies and rheumatology-dermatology. Care for many of our patients is undertaken in a collaborative way among multiple pediatric specialists. We are also uniquely positioned to work with four local dermatology residency programs in the clinical, consultative and didactic setting.

During training, there will be ample opportunity to pursue academic and research endeavors while retaining work-life balance and enjoying all the history and culture that Washington, D.C., has to offer. By the end of their year, the fellow will feel comfortable managing pediatric dermatology in all skin types and leading care ranging from common conditions to complex medical/consultative dermatology.
