The dermatology fellow works with faculty at the main Children’s National campus and at easily-accessible satellite clinics in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland, including multidisciplinary clinics, procedure clinics, and operating room procedures. The fellow works directly with dermatology residents and attendings managing consults during the weekdays, taking on a supervisory role as the year progresses. The fellow is not required to take call on nights and weekends. There is a weekly continuity clinic in which the fellow has graduated autonomy with direct supervision by an attending. There is a rich didactic curriculum including but not limited to the following:

Pediatric Dermatology Division Journal Club (monthly)

GW Dermatology Grand Rounds and Translational Science Lecture Series (four times per year)

National Institutes of Health Grand Rounds (monthly)

GW Krazy Kodachromes (four times per year)

Pediatric Dermatology Resident Consortium Conference (twice per year)

Washington D.C. Dermatological Society Meeting (six times per year)
