Tracks and Eligibility

• Keen interest in nursing as a future career
• Volunteer in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Currently enrolled in a District of Columbia school/program (preferred)
• Graduating senior in spring 2022
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Aptitude for science and mathematics
• Applied and accepted to a college/university with an accredited nursing program
• Demonstrated financial need

High school students must be available to meet all program requirements, consisting of a paid 8-week summer immersion program that runs 32 hours per week. The program includes orientation, mentoring, clinical shadowing, how to be successful in college and career development.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university
• Accepted or enrolled in nursing program
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Demonstrated financial need
• Expected graduation 2023, 2024, 2025

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Washington, D.C., Maryland or Virginia (license in good standing)
• Actively enrolled or accepted to an accredited RN to BSN program
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Demonstrated financial need
• Expected graduation 2022

Registered Nurses interested in mentoring Conway Nursing Pathway participants must be:

• An active employee of Children’s National in good standing
• Enrolled in an accredited M.S.N./M.H.A./Ph.D./D.N.P. program
