Biography
Vivian Szymczuk, M.D., completed her pediatric endocrinology fellowship program at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health. She completed her clinical training in pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and her medical education at University of Medicine and Health Sciences St. Kitts. Dr. Szymczuk previously performed research in muscle regeneration with the department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa, Canada and subsequently completed research in pediatric orthopedics with the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics and the International Center for Limb Lengthening in Baltimore during her medical training. Dr. Szymczuk joined the Metabolic Bone Disorders Unit at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research as a clinical fellow where she focused on research in Fibrous Dysplasia/McCune Alright Syndrome (FD/MAS). Dr. Szymczuk has subsequently been appointed as a research clinician in the Metabolic Bone Disorders Unit and a physician in the Division of Endocrinology at Children’s National Hospital.
