We are Now the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute
We have renamed our Fetal Medicine Institute at Children’s National Hospital to the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute! This new name more accurately reflects Children’s National’s strategic focus on the prenatal-neonatal pediatrics continuum through which we intensify our focus on the ‘unborn-to-newborn’ continuum in collaboration with our neonatology team.
This new strategic focus will allow us to continue to provide the highest level of comprehensive counseling to the patients we share with you, our referring colleagues. It also allows us to formulate the most effective care plan for at-risk infants at and after birth – wherever the delivery occurs and to convey these recommendations to our pediatric colleagues caring for the baby.
Rest assured, this name change does not change core aspects of our practice, such as our physical location, our multidisciplinary team and the ways in which we schedule and coordinate the best care for our shared patients.
