    Nathalia Conover P.T., D.P.T., has been committed to the children, teens and families of Children’s National since 2009. She has over 10 years of experience working with young athletes in the area to include dancers, gymnasts, soccer, football, baseball and basketball players.

    She is passionate about helping the pediatric/adolescent athlete overcome sports injuries by providing highly skilled, sport- and child-specific care that displays compassion, patience and determination to help young athletes navigate the often-challenging road to recovery. She is deeply committed to encouraging, equipping and empowering her patients and their families to not only heal from their injuries, but to become stronger, faster and more confident as they return to the sports and activities they love.

    Nathalia lives in Virginia and has a very active lifestyle. She enjoys taking and teaching group exercise classes, hiking, kayaking and spending time with friends, family and her church community.

    Biography

    Samantha (Sam) Allen is a sports physical therapist who works at the Fight for Children Sports Medicine Center in Silver Spring. She has been working with athletes of all ages in Montgomery County for nearly 10 years and has enjoyed helping her patients get back to the activities and sports that they are specifically passionate about. Additionally, she has been certified in trigger point dry needling since 2017 which allows her to further service her patients with their specific soft tissue/muscle issues. While a lover of all sports, she is a particularly passionate football and hockey fan.

    Briana (Bree) Crowe, P.T., D.P.T., O.C.S., is a sports physical therapist at the Fight For Children Sports Medicine Center, where she works directly with athletes in the rehabilitation gym to get them stronger, more flexible and ready to participate in their sport again. Her favorite sports are basketball and soccer, and she has run half marathons at three different national parks.

    Kevin McGuinness, P.T., D.P.T., S.C.S., C.S.C.S., is a physical therapist specializing in in the treatment of athletes. He is a board certified sports clinical specialist through the ABPTS and a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA. Kevin has treated high school, collegiate and professional athletes for a wide variety of conditions. He has a particular interest in helping athletes with hip pathologies such as FAI/labral tears and dysplasia. 

    Kevin was a collegiate rugby player and competed in weightlifting throughout his twenties.

    Mia Caminita, M.S., is an engineer and biomechanist who leads the Sports Performance and Motion Analysis Lab at the Fight For Children Sports Medicine Center. She conducts sport-specific motion analysis studies on youth and adolescent athletes as well as clinical gait analysis studies for various patient populations. She is passionate about using motion analysis technologies to enhance athletic performance, reduce injury risk, guide return-to-sport recommendations, and improve gait mechanics.

    She plans to complete her Ph.D. in 2022 and build a strong motion analysis research program at Children’s National Hospital that uses biomechanical data to help guide evidence-based clinical practices.

    Mia is also a former competitive figure skater and has over 10 years of experience coaching and working with youth athletes and their families. She spoke about her work in the Sports Performance and Motion Analysis Lab in this Fox 5 interview.
