Our extern in Adolescent Medicine will work as a team member in our Eating Disorders Clinic at Children's National Friendship Heights. Working with the department's clinical psychologist, the extern will conduct diagnostic evaluations and take part in individual psychotherapy and some parent counseling.
Psychology and Behavioral Health offers practicum level training experiences in child clinical and pediatric psychology to students enrolled in doctoral programs in psychology.
The internship is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association, initially earning accreditation in 1970.
This position will provide focused experience in conducting research on the neuropsychological profiles and/or treatment of children with high-functioning autism.
