- Qinxin Shi graduated with her Ph.D. in developmental science from Texas A&M University and completed her first postdoctoral training in the Psychology Department at the University of Utah. Her research interests center on generating knowledge and solutions to understand children and adolescents’ mental health development and its dynamical associations with well-being and socio-emotional functioning outcomes from a developmental perspective using various tools (e.g., biometrics, e-health), designs (intensive longitudinal, experimental), and analyses (e.g., dynamic system modeling). She is also interested in how self-regulation plays a crucial role in the development of mental health. As part of her current NIH-funded T32 postdoctoral fellowship, she is gaining experience in examining mechanisms of development and key processes in delivering evidence-based intervention in communities and schools for youth and adolescents with ADHD and related social, emotional and behavioral challenges.
