Children’s National Health System’s e-Learning team offers provider and patient-centered learning management system (LMS) platforms that house online communication and educational resources such as live and archived lectures, forums, blogs, wikis, documents, training modules, virtual simulations, quizzes, podcasts, and videoconferencing and other interactive capabilities. The learning platforms are highly customizable and designed to provide teachers and learners with educational resource supplements for enhancing knowledge and performance, control over instructional content, sequence, and time, research opportunities for faculty to inform performance models on various medical education topics, and engaging learning experiences to achieve individual and inter-professional team outcomes.
