Head of Nursing Research Quoted in New York Times Article on Teen End-of-Life Care Decisions

More recently, healthcare providers have begun giving critically ill teenagers and young adults a voice in their own end-of-life decisions. Pamela S. Hinds, RN, PhD, FAAN, Associate Center Director, Center for Translational Science and Director, Nursing Research and Quality Outcomes, was quoted in a New York Times article saying "Adolescents are competent enough to discuss their end-of-life preferences. Studies show they prefer to be involved and have not been harmed by any such involvement."
