As part of an editorial collaboration with Medscape, Margaret Menzel, MS, genetic counselor for the Fetal Medicine Institute wrote a commentary on noninvasive prenatal tests. Menzel discusses the role of a genetic counselor in helping patients understand the benefits and limitations of screening, and in allowing families to make better informed medical decisions.
