Children’s National Welcomes Drs. Hubbard and Tucker-Powell to Children’s Pediatricians and Associates (CP&A)
February 14, 2013
WASHINGTON, DC— Effective this week, the pediatric practice run by Angela Hubbard, MD, and Danita Tucker-Powell, MD, has become part of Children’s Pediatricians and Associates (CP&A). This change maintains the same personal, high-quality medical care already given to area families and will not affect day-to-day family interactions with the practice. By working with CP&A, Drs. Hubbard and Tucker-Powell’s practice will move to an electronic medical record system and will become a part of the integrated system of care at Children’s National.
“The chance to join forces with Children’s Pediatricians and Associates at Children’s National is a way for us to ensure that our patients receive the best medical care possible while maintaining our commitment to our families in the area,” commented Angela Hubbard, MD. “We consider this to be a mutually beneficial and positive relationship with Children's National Medical Center.”
CP&A is a group of pediatric practices owned and managed by Children's National Medical Center. CP&A has more than 40 pediatric primary care providers, accounting for more than 135,000 annual patient visits in Montgomery, Prince George's, and Charles counties in Maryland, as well as in Washington, DC.
“This addition to CP&A is emblematic of Children’s commitment to patients and families in Prince George's County," said Nasima Hossain, MHA, FACHE, Executive Director of the Diana L. and Stephen A. Goldberg Center for Community Pediatric Health and of CP&A. "Drs. Hubbard and Tucker-Powell will be integrated into CP&A, which helps our pediatric practices strengthen the physician-patient relationship through continuity of care, patient education and advocacy, and practice management.”
