Carol Keese, MBA, Joins Children's National as Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing

Washington, DC – Carol Keese, MBA, has been named Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing for Children’s National Medical Center, effective October 29. 

Ms. Keese brings two decades of experience in healthcare marketing and communications. She most recently held the position of Senior Director for Strategic Communications and Public Affairs for Johns Hopkins Medicine. Before joining Johns Hopkins, she was Director of Strategic Marketing at the University of Virginia Health System for a decade. She has been a national speaker on a number of subjects including online strategy, corporate communications, and marketing.

"Carol brings tremendous savvy and presence to the table and, combined with a strong, dedicated team, will advance the Children's National story in the region, across the country, and around the world.”

Her responsibilities include integrating all public relations and marketing efforts with the organization’s strategic planning process, and leading integrated communications to elevate the Children’s National brand nationally and internationally. That brand is comprised of many entities, including the Children’s Research Institute and the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation.

 Ms. Keese earned her BA in English from the University of Virginia and her MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.
