Washington, DC– On January 12, Kohl’s associates volunteered at Children’s National Medical Center’s “Waiting to Exhale” asthma education session and presented a check for $420,236. This marks the third year of Kohl’s support of the Kohl’s Community Asthma Program at Children’s National, which provides asthma prevention education to high-risk children and their families in the metropolitan Washington region.
“Kohl’s is helping children with chronic asthma by enabling us to provide innovative and family-centered asthma care and education in our emergency department and our community-based clinics,” said Kimberly Lane, director of corporate marketing at Children’s National. “We sincerely appreciate Kohl’s commitment to the children and families of our community.”
“Through our partnership with Children’s National Medical Center, Kohl’s hopes to improve the health of children and play an active role in communities throughout the Washington, D.C. area,” said Patty Holliger, district sales manager for Kohl’s.
Kohl’s commitment to Children’s National Medical Center is made possible through Kohl’s Cares for Kids. Since 2000, Kohl’s has raised more than $150 million for such initiatives nationwide.
