- Gelila Chanie, B.S., C.P.S.T., joined Safe Kids DC at Children’s National Hospital as a community health education specialist. She is a graduate of George Mason University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in community health. As a community health education specialist, Gelila is dedicated to promoting health awareness, fostering community empowerment and implementing evidence-based strategies to prevent injuries and enhance overall well-being. With a strong passion for improving community well-being, Gelila's education and experiences have equipped her with valuable knowledge in various aspects of public health, health promotion and injury prevention.

Biography
Chenille Holloman, MHSA, CPST, is the manager of the Safe Kids DC program at Children’s National Hospital. Chenille has 13 years of experience in hospital and ambulatory operations, project management and health advocacy. Chenille has been an employee at Children’s National for 9 years where she worked in the Child Health Advocacy Institute before joining the Safe Kids DC program in 2014. Chenille leads community based injury prevention efforts, builds strategic partnerships, develops comprehensive programming and provides financial management for all program and coalition efforts. The program’s key risk areas include bike and pedestrian safety, child passenger safety and home safety.
