Preventive Cardiology Referral Guidelines
All patients with any of the following items are encouraged to follow up with a preventive cardiologist:
- Total cholesterol > 200mg/dL
- LDL > 130 mg/dL
- Triglycerides > 250mg/dL
- Triglycerides/HDL >2.5 and non-HDL >145mg/dL
For Patients Who Don't Meet This Criteria
Obese patients, hypertensive patients who do not meet the criteria below are encouraged to call Carmenita Lyles at 202-436-3065 to schedule an appointment at the IDEAL Clinic.
