Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship
The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship at Children’s National Hospital is a one-year fellowship that commences every July. The PEM US fellowship is a joint fellowship with the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Program at George Washington University Hospital. This unique program is designed for PEM physicians who are interested in developing expertise in pediatric emergency ultrasound applications. The pediatric emergency ultrasound fellow will participate in weekly scanning shifts as well as US review sessions. The PEM US fellow will be trained in pediatric and adult emergency ultrasound applications; however, the focus will be in the pediatric arena with a large portion of scanning time done at CNMC as well as the GWU ED.
