Research

During the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship, each fellow is expected to actively design, conduct, evaluate and prepare for presentation/publication of a clinical or public health scholarly project in the area of adolescent medicine. Moreover, they are encouraged and financially supported to be participants and presenters at the annual meeting of the Society for Adolescent Health Medicine (SAHM).

A certificate or Master’s Degree in Clinical Translational Research, Education or Public Health through George Washington University (GWU) is a valued opportunity within our program to develop the scholarly activity requirement. Tuition reimbursements for GWU classes are a benefit of fellowship. All fellows are expected to complete coursework in Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Study Design at minimum.
