Education
The Acute Care Fellowship is comprised of clinical shifts and electives relevant to pediatric acute and urgent care. Components of the fellowship include: weekly conferences, several workshops on various aspects of pediatric urgent care and rotations with dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology and more.

Clinical Experience
Fellows work alongside pediatric emergency medicine faculty in the main emergency department and Fast Track pods.

Didactics and Teaching
Fellows participate in weekly departmental conferences and hospital-wide fellow didactics. Our fellows participate in teaching rotating fellows, residents and medical students.
Academic Opportunities
Fellows are mentored in scholarly activities that relate to professional development, leadership, research and education.
Administrative
Fellows participate in administrative committees, operations and quality improvement initiatives. Fellows are encouraged to learn aspects of financial management, business planning and human resource management in preparation for future administrative roles.
Research
The fellow will be expected to be active in scholarly activity. This can be in the form of a quality improvement project, clinical or administrative research. The fellow will complete a research project by the end of the fellowship.
