Nathalia Conover P.T., D.P.T., has been committed to the children, teens and families of Children’s National since 2009. She has over 10 years of experience working with young athletes in the area to include dancers, gymnasts, soccer, football, baseball and basketball players.
She is passionate about helping the pediatric/adolescent athlete overcome sports injuries by providing highly skilled, sport- and child-specific care that displays compassion, patience and determination to help young athletes navigate the often-challenging road to recovery. She is deeply committed to encouraging, equipping and empowering her patients and their families to not only heal from their injuries, but to become stronger, faster and more confident as they return to the sports and activities they love.
Nathalia lives in Virginia and has a very active lifestyle. She enjoys taking and teaching group exercise classes, hiking, kayaking and spending time with friends, family and her church community.

Biography
Kevin McGuinness, P.T., D.P.T., S.C.S., C.S.C.S., is a physical therapist specializing in in the treatment of athletes. He is a board certified sports clinical specialist through the ABPTS and a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA. Kevin has treated high school, collegiate and professional athletes for a wide variety of conditions. He has a particular interest in helping athletes with hip pathologies such as FAI/labral tears and dysplasia.

Biography
Jana R. Ponder, MS, LAT, ATC is a certified athletic trainer with a passion for adolescent sports medicine and injury prevention. Jana received her master’s degree in sport and exercise psychology. She uses her knowledge in these fields to provide the best possible care by considering the entire person in her evaluation and treatment. Jana has a particular interest in helping performing artists of all art forms.

Biography
Mia Caminita, M.S., is a biomechanist and engineer who leads the Sports Performance and Motion Analysis Lab at the Fight for Children Sports Medicine Center. She is passionate about using motion analysis technologies to enhance athletic performance, reduce injury risk, guide return-to-sport recommendations and improve gait mechanics. Mia is also a former competitive figure skater and has over 10 years of experience coaching and working with youth athletes and their families.

- Samantha Collins is an engineer and biomechanist in the sports performance and motion analysis lab. In 2023 she graduated with a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver while working in the Center of Orthopedic Biomechanics human dynamics lab. In this role she worked with osteoarthritic patients receiving knee replacements to analyze functionality and pain relief. Samantha is passionate about using motion analysis technologies to enhance athletic performance, reduce injury risk, guide return-to-sport recommendations and improve gait mechanics.
Samantha is a former competitive basketball player at the University of Rochester and now enjoys an active lifestyle.
