Children’s National Rare Disease Institute (CNRDI) is a first-of-its-kind center focused exclusively on advancing the care and treatment of children and adults with rare genetic diseases.
Learn more about the specialized services we provide for our patients:
- Inherited Metabolic Diseases Program: Our program is one of the largest in the country with more than 600 active patients. We have the clinical expertise to diagnose and treat infants, children and adults with rare disorders, and offer an extensive support network for patients and their families.
- Lysosomal Storage Diseases Program: Children’s National Health System is the regional center for the diagnosis and management of children and adults with lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs). Our LSD program combines advanced clinical care with opportunities for participation in clinical and basic research.
