    Biography

    Mireille Jabroun, M.D., is a clinical fellow in Ophthalmology at Children’s National Hospital, She is fellowship trained in pediatric medical retina at Boston Children’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School where she gained experience in inherited retinal diseases and electrophysiology. She was also fellowship trained in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Medicine where she gained experience in adjustable sutures, complex strabismus and reoperations.

    Cori Abrams, C.O, graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland. She then went to Mount Sinai's New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and became a certified orthoptist and certified ophthalmic medical technologist in 1996. She has worked at the Retina Group of Washington and has been an orthopist at Children’s National Hospital since 1997.

    Rupa Nayee graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelors in Science in Biology 2013. As an undergraduate at UF, she volunteered with individuals in special education. After graduation she worked in ophthalmology where she fell in love with the field and decided she wanted to pursue her career as an orthoptist. Rupa then completed her orthoptic training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus in 2017 at UB|MD Ophthalmology Ross Eye Institute. She also conducted research and did a presentation on “Diplopia Associated with Epiretinal Membrane”. Rupa specializes in pediatric and adult strabismus and loves seeing patients of all ages.

    Mengfei Paris Yu, C.O graduated from Orthoptic Fellowship at Ross Eye Institute, University of Buffalo in 2018. She has been an orthoptist at Children's National Hospital since 2019. She specializes in pediatric and adult strabismus.

    Yuxin Tian is a certified orthoptist and certified ophthalmic medical technologist who completed his orthoptic training at IWK Hospital for Children in Halifax, Canada in 2011. He joined Children’s National Hospital in early 2012. He specializes in testing, diagnosing and providing orthoptic treatments of strabismus and amblyopia. He is also skilled in objective and subjective refraction, fundus photography, visual field and field of binocular single vision, optical coherence tomography, keratometry and other ophthalmic techniques. He received Clinical Vision Science Scholarship Award in 2010.
