IBStim

IBStim is a percutaneous electrical nerve field stimulator (PENFS) system intended to be used in patients 11-18 years of age with functional abdominal pain associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It aims to Improve quality of life in patients with chronic debilitating abdominal pain without the use of pharmaceuticals or surgery by offering neuromodulation to decrease or eliminate chronic pain in a a safe, unique approach that few other pediatric institutions offer. IBStim is now FDA approved.
