Anorexia Nervosa

  • Excessive preoccupation with food and dieting
  • Abnormal weight loss
  • Loss of menstrual periods
  • Distorted body image
  • Physical changes such as constipation, coldness, and/or low pulse
  • Rigid eating habits, vomiting, and/or laxative abuse

Bulimia

  • Preoccupation with food and eating
  • Secretive binge eating
  • Fear of loss control over eating and weight
  • Menstrual irregularities
  • Weight fluctuations due to bingeing and fasting
  • Vomiting or laxative abuse
  • Physical changes such as swollen glands or eroded tooth enamel
