The Gender Development Program at Children’s National Hospital is studying the relationship between the experience of being transgender, gender exploring or gender non-binary in youth and behavioral and biological measures of gender (including genes and neuroimaging). The aim of this research is to develop improved measures of gender and gender-related needs in youth. David Call, M.D., is the Director of the Gender Development Program and John Strang, Psy.D., is the Primary Investigator for the research program.
