Biography

Darren Klugman, MD, serves as Medical Director of the Cardiac ICU at Children's National Health System. Dr. Klugman earned his medical degree at George Washington University, and he completed both his pediatric residency and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Cardiology at Children's National.

He is a nationally recognized leader in patient safety. His clinical and research interests are focused on improving quality and safety as well as postoperative management in the cardiac intensive care unit.

Dr. Klugman is the secretary of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society and serves on the board of directors.



Dr. Klugman earned his medical degree at George Washington University, and he completed both his pediatric residency and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Cardiology at Children's National.
