About the Provider
Barbara Jantausch, MD, is a pediatric infectious diseases specialist at Children’s National Hospital. She is also a Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Jantausch’s clinical interests include general infectious diseases, fever of unknown origin, congenital infections, tickborne diseases and tropical medicine.
She is interested in medical education and is a former program director of the pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Children’s National. In 2019 she was awarded the Elda Arce Teaching Scholar Award by her peers, for her innovative teaching and outstanding contributions to the education of students, residents and fellows. Dr. Jantausch is currently a member of the Children’s Academy of Pediatric Educators.
Dr. Jantausch is also interested in global health education, and she teaches in the Children’s National Global Health Course. She is a Pediatrics Section Member of the National Chagas Disease Network.
