About the Provider
Amy Lewanda, MD, joined Children's National Hospital as a faculty member in 1994 after finishing her medical genetics training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the same year. She has served as a faculty member in medical genetics in the Inova health system. Dr. Lewanda is the co-director of the Down Syndrome Clinic. Dr. Lewanda’s research focuses on health outcomes for patients with Down Syndrome, and pediatric to adult transitions for genetics patients.
