Diagnosis

Your child's healthcare provider may perform tests such as fasting plasma glucose tests, hemoglobin A1C tests, random glucose test or other diagnostic tests.

Treatment

Treatment may include daily shots of insulin to keep your child's blood sugar level in normal ranges, being more active, meal planning or other treatment options.
