Coronavirus Update:What patients and families need to know
Upcoming Recruitment Events
Throughout our health system, Children’s National nurses benefit from endless opportunities for professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration and shared governance. Our nurses translate these opportunities into evidence-based practice and family-centered care. If you come to work at Children’s, you will be part of an extraordinary community of physicians, nurses and hospital staff dedicated to children’s medicine.
If you are interested in providing quality health care to children and their families, we would love to have you on the Children's National nursing team. Our team regularly attends career fairs across the country to meet prospective nurses.
The following nursing schools are currently on our schedule:
- The Catholic Univeristy of America
- Coppin State University
- University of Delaware
- George Mason University
- Georgetown University
- Howard University
- Johns Hopkins University
- University of Maryland (Baltimore and Shady Grove campuses)
- New York University
- Penn State University
- The University of Pennsylvania
- Shenandoah University
- University of Virginia
If you are a student at one of these schools, and would like more information about these events, please contact your Career Services Center directly. If your school is not listed, and you would like to invite us to your school’s nursing career fair, please contact our office at BeANurse@childrensnational.org.
We also regularly attend the Society of Pediatric Nurses and National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition meetings.
Nurses (RNs and LPNs with at least one year of experience) interested in an informational interview, either before or after applying for a position with us, may stop by a walk-in session on Tuesdays from noon to 2 p.m. at two of our locations. Visit with us at our main campus, 111 Michigan Ave NW, Washington, D.C. or Dorchester location, 12200 Plum Orchard Drive, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD. Just inquire at our welcome desks.
If you are unable to attend, you can also view open nursing opportunities at Children's.
