Pediatric Endocrinologist Discusses Early Puberty on the Diane Rehm Show

Paul Kaplowitz, MD, a pediatric endocrinologist, joined the Diane Rehm Show to discuss the new normal in puberty in girls -- early puberty. Dr. Kaplowitz says most signs of early puberty, such as body odor or pubic hair, are not true puberty. According to Dr. Kaplowitz, most children that he sees do not need treatment unless puberty is fairly advanced or rapidly developing.
