Asthma Expert Discusses Medication Options for Children
Asthma expert Stephen Teach, MD, MPH, discusses medication options for young patients in the emergency department in Medscape Medical News, in response to a study published online in The Journal of Pediatrics.
Dr. Teach, who was not involved in this study, said the analysis suggests that children with acute asthma flare-ups may be given dexamethasone instead of “awful-tasting” prednisone to improve patient and parental satisfaction.
