Biography

Leandra Godoy, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in early childhood mental health. Dr. Godoy is an assistant professor of pediatrics & psychology and behavioral health at Children’s National Hospital and she oversees community mental health-primary care integration activities within the Child Health Advocacy Institute and the Goldberg Center for Community Pediatric Health.

Dr. Godoy also leads parent-child interaction therapy services in the outpatient psychology clinic at CNH. She serves as Program Manager for the DC Collaborative for Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care and Assistant Director for DC MAP (Mental Health Access in Pediatrics), both city-wide initiatives aimed at improving mental health integration within pediatric primary care.

Dr. Godoy graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in psychology and a minor degree in child development. She received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston after completing her pre-doctoral internship in child clinical psychology at Brown University and a post-doctoral fellowship at CNH. Dr. Godoy’s clinical and research interests include early childhood mental health, mental health integration in pediatric primary care and health disparities.
