Dear Patients and Families,

The physicians and staff at Children’s National Pediatricians and Associates would like to update you on plans for COVID-19 vaccines for 5-11 year old children. As with earlier COVID-19 vaccination efforts, our most at-risk patients — including those with complex medical conditions — will be the first to receive an invitation to vaccine clinics held in conjunction with Children’s National Hospital.

Making Your Child's Vaccine Appointment

We anticipate high demand during the first days of vaccine availability. Those with healthy children who are eager to have them vaccinated immediately may find that a local pharmacy, health department or school will be the fastest and most convenient option. Both Maryland and Washington, D.C. schools are expected to have some capacity to administer vaccines once they are available. We are confident that, with a bit of patience, every family who wants their child to be vaccinated will be able to do so.

Thank Your For Your Patience

We value our role in your child’s healthcare and we are always dedicated to finding a way to meet the needs of our patients and families. We greatly appreciate your patience and  understanding as we continue to work within our organization and with other community partners to provide timely COVID-19 vaccination for children ages 5-11.
