The Children's National Autologous Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) Program provides specialized therapy for children with cancer. In an autologous BMT, your child’s bone marrow1 is removed, frozen and re-implanted with his or her own stem cells at a later time. Our goal is to restore your child’s health using the most advanced and least invasive treatments possible.
