Shikib Mostamand, M.D., was born in Orange, California. He received his bachelor's degree from University of California, Irvine, where he majored in biological sciences before pursuing medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Mostamand completed his residency in Pediatrics at Phoenix Children's Hospital followed by fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles with a niche focus on pediatric neurogastroenterology and motility disorders. His interests include functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) also known as disorders of the gut-brain axis.
He is enthused to be a part of the Comprehensive GI Motility program at Children's National Hospital as well as a member of the Children's National Colorectal Clinic (CNCC) collaboration.
