Niti Dham, M.D., joined the Division of Cardiology at Children's National Hospital as a full-time attending in July 2009. She completed a non-invasive cardiac imaging fellowship at Children’s National. Dr. Dham is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Prior to this, her cardiology fellowship included training at Children’s National, Columbia University and Tulane University.
Dr. Dham's clinical focus includes heart failure, transplant, cardiomyopathy, cardiology-oncology, pulmonary hypertension and echocardiography. She is a key member of the Advanced Cardiac Therapies Team (Heart Failure and Transplant) and is the director of the Cardio-Oncology Program in Cardiology. In addition, she is the lead physician of the cardiomyopathy cardiogenetics clinic. She has experience in multiple forms of cardiac imaging including transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography. Her research interests involve early cardiac detection in cancer survivors, evaluation of pulmonary hypertension with non-invasive cardiac modalities, heart failure and cardiogenetics.
