Kaushal Amatya, Ph.D., is a pediatric psychologist with the Divisions of Nephrology and Cardiology at Children's National Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine. He received his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA and B.S. in Psychology from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Amatya completed his predoctoral residency at Children's National and postdoctoral fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD. His clinical and research experiences and interests include emotional/behavioral difficulties, nonadherence, quality of life and adjustment in pediatric nephrology and cardiology population.
