Kathy Woodward, M.D., is the medical director of the D.C. School Based Health Centers. Dr. Woodward is a strong community advocate for adolescent healthcare, participating in many community and professional organizations, including the Society for Adolescent Medicine, the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Panel on Teen Pregnancy, the D.C. Department of Health's Adolescent Health Task Force, and the D.C. Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (Howard University Hospital). She is also a consultant for the Region III Training III family planning consultant and a board member of the D.C. Assembly of School-based Healthcare. Dr. Woodward is a graduate of Wellesley College and the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Woodward completed her pediatric residency and her adolescent medicine fellowship at Children’s National. She became a member of the attending staff of the hospital in 1983. She is board-certified in pediatrics.
