Joseph Letzelter, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. After completing his medical education he continued his training as an orthopaedic surgery resident at Georgetown University Hospital. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at NYU’s Department of Orthopaedics. He also spent time training in New Zealand focusing on wrist and forearm post-traumatic pathology. He most recently finished a fellowship in Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Shriner’s Hospital in Northern California. His areas of interest include upper extremity fractures and post-traumatic deformity, neuromuscular conditions, nerve injuries and congenital upper extremity deformities.
Dr. Letzelter grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL. When he is not in the office, he is spending quality time with his family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and staying active.
