Jessica Simpson, M.D., recently joined the Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship program at Children’s National Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from The University of the West Indies in Jamaica. After medical school, she worked in various specialties however Pediatrics stood out because of her passion for children. During her Pediatric residency at Memorial Healthcare System/Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, she garnered a deep interest for the field of Pediatric Rheumatology which was fostered by her mentors. She has since been warmly welcomed into the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at Children’s National which provides a great exposure to diverse patient populations paired with a highly motivated and experienced faculty. Her current interests include skin manifestations of rheumatologic conditions and related joint pathologies. She remains open to new areas of interest.
