Jessica Colyer, M.D., is the Medical Director of Inpatient Cardiology at Children's National. She has served as Medical Unit Director of the Heart and Kidney Unit within the Heart Institute since 2013. She has played an integral role in bringing expert cardiac care to pediatric patients both in Washington, D.C., and specialty care locations in surrounding communities.

Dr. Colyer earned a medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pa., and she completed a residency in pediatrics at Children's National. She spent one year as a pediatric chief resident at Children's, prior to completing her fellowship in pediatric cardiology. She is involved in multiple quality and safety initiatives throughout the hospital and also has a special interest in improving the inpatient experience.
