Ian Hovis, M.D., completed a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin in natural sciences and communication arts – film, radio and television, before earning a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, and moving on to a pediatric residency at Montefiore Children’s Hospital in Bronx, NY. He joined Children's National as a cardiology fellow in 2015 and became a faculty member in August 2018.
Dr. Hovis has a deep interest in education and clinical cardiology, and is very active in clinical research projects. He sees patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at the main campus in Washington, D.C., as well as at the cardiology clinic at the Montgomery County Outpatient Center and the Calvert Cardiology Clinic.
