Gabrina Dixon, M.D., is a hospitalist and an affiliate faculty member of the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children's National Hospital. She is an associate professor of pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She enjoys being able to teach residents and medical students about general pediatrics and pediatric hospitalist care. Due to her love of teaching, Dr. Dixon received a master of arts in education from the George Washington University in 2018.
In addition to her regular responsibilities, she is the associate director of medical education responsible for directing Howard University medical students' inpatient rotation at Children's National. Dr. Dixon is chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Hospital Medicine Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Her research interests include diversity and inclusion in academic pediatric medicine and implicit bias in medicine.
