Biography

Gabrina Dixon, M.D., is a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and an associate professor of pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She enjoys teaching fellows, residents and medical students about general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine. Due to her love of teaching, Dr. Dixon earned a Master of Arts in Education from George Washington University in 2018.

In addition to her regular responsibilities, she is the associate director of medical education responsible for directing Howard University medical students’ inpatient rotation at Children’s National. She is also the director of Advancing Diversity in Academic Pediatrics at Children’s National, which aims to increase the number of medical students underrepresented in medicine to pursue academic pediatrics. Her research interests include diversity and inclusion, and bias in academic medicine.
