Danita L. Tucker-Powell, M.D., attended Towson State University where she graduated cum laude and received a Doctor of Medicine from Howard University's College of Medicine. Upon graduation from Howard, she completed a pediatric residency at Children’s National Hospital. After completing her residency, she then joined the staff of University Care, one of University of Maryland’s community primary care sites in Baltimore, Maryland. There, she oversaw their asthma management program and treated an under-resourced community.
In 2005, Danita Tucker-Powell, M.D., joined Angela Hubbard, M.D., in Greenbelt, Maryland, where she currently practices. She serves as co-lead physician at the CNPA Greenbelt practice. While caring for all aspects of pediatrics, she still has a special interest in asthma management. She is board-certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Tucker-Powell has practiced in pediatrics for over two decades. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
